Environmentalism
Poolaroids is always looking to take care of about our environment and think about sustainability. As you can imagine this is not always easy to find the right products.
But after lots of research we are happy to say that poolaroids assists our nature as much as possible.
Here are some examples how we contribute to that:
Hemp is a good option for strings, Paper tape with caoutchouc glue, recycled labels and business cards and so on. Only the blue edge protectors are made of polyethene (If anybody knows a substitue for that please contact us), but the green filling material (Flo-Pak) is made of 100% recycled material - no regrowing materials (like corn) are used.
If you don't want to use it again you can dispose it very simply with water:

Important: All Fine Art Prints are delicate items and have to be handled with care, to avoid risk of scratching. Also, try to avoid any contact with water. If drop a of water gets on the print, please try to remove it by dabbing it instead of wiping it off. If you wipe off the water, there is the risk of leaving a slight wipe trail.
The products have enhanced smear protection to make the prints more durable, but still careful handling is required.
Maybe you are wondering why it is shipped in a big flat package and not in a roll.
The Fine Art Print would curl in the roll and it would be very difficult for you to put it in a frame. As you can imagine a 330g curled paper is difficult to handle and any creases would stay visible.
Alu Print A2+
Carefulyl open the package (Don't cut too deep with the cutter, you can peel away the paper tape easily) remove the edge protectors and leave the paper cover on the picture.
Measure the length of one aluminum rail (the length depends on the picture)
Mark the place where you like to have the picture with a line (The line must be shorter then the aluminum rail).
Fix two screws in the wall, one at each end of the line:
Take the picture including the papercover and hang it on your wall:
Now you can remove the cover and enjoy the picture ;-)

Carefully open the package (Don't cut too deep with the cutter, you can peel away the paper tape easily) and leave the brown paper on the picture.
Bend the carton wing away on one side
With your fingers underneath the Fine Art Print and your thumb on the brown paper (see picture below) pull it carefully out of the package.
(preferably use two hands, I used only one here because I had to take a photo with the other :-)
Now you can take the brown paper off.

Carefully open the brown envelope (you can peel away the paper tape easily) and pull on both brown papers to pull the picture out of the envelope
Enjoy Your Poolaroids!
Umweltschutz und Nachhaltigkeit ist ein wichtiges Thema für Poolaroids. Leider ist es auch heutzutage nicht all zu einfach die richtigen Produkte zu finden.
Aber jetzt sind wir doch froh darüber das Poolaroids unsere Natur unterstützt.
Hier ein paar Beispiele was wir dazu beitragen:
Als Paketschnur kann man Hanf einsetzen. Papierklebeband mit Kautschukkleber, Aufkleber und Visitenkarten aus recycelten Papier. Der blaue Kantenschutz für die Alu Prints besteht aus Polyethylen (Sollte es hierfür eine besseren Ersatz geben, würden wir uns über eine Email freuen)
Das grüne Füllmaterial (Flo-Pak) besteht aus 100% recycelten Material und es wurden keine nachwachsenden Materialien verwendet (wie zb Mais).
Man kann es immer wieder verwenden oder einfach mit Wasser entsorgen:

Alle Fine Art Prints sind empfindliche Kunstwerke und sollten sehr vorsichtig behandelt werden, damit sie nicht zerkratzt werden. Jeder Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten bitte vermeiden. Bei Wasserkontakt sollte man das Wasser nicht abwischen sondern vorsichtig abtupfen. Beim wischen könnten schlieren entstehen.
Der Hersteller bezeichnet das Produkt als Wischfest, man sollte aber trotzdem vorsichtig sein.
Es ist vielleicht verwunderlich das die Fine Art Prints nicht in Rollen verschickt werden. Aber unsere Tests haben ergeben, dass die Prints in der Rolle rund werden und es dann sehr schwierig ist das runde Papier in einem Rahmen zu geben. Wie man sich vorstellen kann ist 330g Papier sehr unhandlich. Sollte es einmal an einer Stelle umknicken sieht man den Knick für immer.

Vorsichtig die Verpackung öffnen (Nicht zu tief in die Verpackung schneiden, das Papierpackband läßt sich einfach abziehen). Danach den Kantenschutz entfernen, aber die Papierabdeckung auf dem Bild belassen.
Die Länge der Aluleiste messen (Die Länge hängt immer vom Bildformat ab)
An der Wand die Stelle mit einer Linie, die etwas kürzer als die Aluleiste ist, markieren (am besten eine Wasserwage benutzen)
Zwei Schrauben entlang der Linie befestigen (an jedem Ende jeweils eine)
Jetzt das Bild inklusive Abdeckpapier nehmen und an die Wand hängen.
Danach kann das Papier entfernt werden und man kann das Bild genießen ;-)
Fine Art Print A2+
Vorsichtig die Verpackung öffnen (Nicht zu tief in die Verpackung schneiden, das Papierpackband läßt sich einfach abziehen) und das Packpapier auf dem Bild belassen
Einen Kartonflügel nach außen biegen.
Mit der Hand (Am besten mit zwei) unter das Bild greifen und vorsichtig aus der Verpackung herausziehen.
Nachdem das Bild im Rahmen ist kann man das Packpapier entfernen.
Fine Art Print A3+
Vorsichtig den übergroßen Umschlag öffnen(Das Papierpackband läßt sich einfach abziehen) und an beiden Enden des Packpapier ziehen.
